Regina, Saskatchewan - With just 25 games left in the regular season, the Regina Pats find themselves in a six team race for home ice advantage in the first round of the WHL Playoffs. This weekend, the blue and white will host two of those teams beginning tonight against the Medicine Hat Tigers and then Saturday it's the Moose Jaw Warriors.

TV: Access 7 Sports - Rod Pedersen, Jared Dumba and Phil Andrews

This is the third time this season that the Pats and the Tigers have met with Regina winning the first two games including late September in Medicine Hat and November in Regina. Morgan Klimchuk scored the game winning goal in both of the Pats wins.

Who to look for:

C - Emerson Etem

The two time representative for the U.S. at the World Junior Hockey Championships is averaging a goal a game this season with 39 markers in 40 games. The 19 year old native of Long Beach, California is a 1st round pick of the Anaheim Ducks.

G - Tyler Bunz

The 19 year old WHL veteran is a 5th round pick of the Edmonton Oilers in the 2010 NHL Draft. He is currently second in the WHL with 25 wins and is fantastic playing the puck with four assists this season.

Salute to Moms!

Tonight is also Salute to Hockey Mom's Night with the Regina Pats honouring the backbone of any hockey player.mom! Team ticket packages are just $175 and with that ticket package, all the players' moms get into the game free. Tonight, the Pats will also be honouring their billet moms and player video messages on what their mom means to them will also run throughout the night.

This is the fifth time this season that the best rivalry in the WHL heat up an just the second time at the Brandt Centre. The last time these two teams met was December 9th when a Lane Scheidl overtime winner was the difference in a 3-2 Pats win at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw.

Who to look for:

LW - James Henry

The 20 year old forward is one of two new WHL Trade Deadline additions to the Warriors. The former Vancouver Giants captain came to Moose Jaw in exchange for a pair of high WHL Bantam Draft picks

C - Cam Braes

Braes is the other Trade Deadline addition to the Warriors. The 20 year old former captain of the Lethbridge Hurricanes has had a great start with the Warriors, picking up 7 points in his first four games.

Pats Show Off Their Skills This Sunday!!:

The 2nd annual Prairie Mobile Pats Skills Competition is set for Sunday, and if last year's debut event was any indication, this year's will be a must see event. The five event challenge (fastest skater, hardest shot, accuracy, 3-way passing breakout and the shootout) is set to begin at 2pm on Sunday, January 22nd at the Co-operators Centre and admission is FREE! All of the Regina Pats will take part as well as the Tier One Sabres from Hockey Regina.
