Pats Look for Redemption Versus Broncos at Home

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats rematch the Swift Current Broncos on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. inside the Brandt Centre as the club ends their six game season series against Swift Current.

It's also the second game of this home-and-home against the Broncos as these two clubs last met on Friday inside the InnovationPlex with the Broncos defeating the Pats 4-2, ending Regina's three game winning-streak. The Pats opened the scoring early in the first and took a 2-1 lead early in the third after the game was 1-1 after two. The Broncos would fire back with three unanswered goals to close out their 21st win of the season.

Connor Bedard and Parker Berge scored for the Pats while Drew Sim made 26 saves for the Pats in the loss. For the Broncos, they got goals from Josh Filmon and Drew Englot as well as two goals from Josh Davies. In net, Reid Dyck made 25 saves. The final shots were 30-27 for the Broncos. The Pats went 1-2 on their power play and 4-6 on their penalty kill.

These two clubs are now tied for seventh in the Eastern Conference standings with 44 points.

The Regina Pats have won three of their last four games, defeating the Calgary Hitmen (6-2), Saskatoon Blades (7-4) and Portland Winterhawks (4-3) during that time, which comes following a three game losing-streak from Jan. 1 - Jan. 6...over the Pats last four games, they have outscored their opponents 19-to-13...the Pats are also 7-for-14 on the power play (50%) over their last four games.

Connor Bedard scored his 100th career WHL goal (100G-107A-207PTS-109GP) on Friday in Swift Current, becoming the fifth player in league history to score 100 goals before his 18th birthday...Friday, Jan. 13, Bedard recorded his 200th point against the Saskatoon Blades.
