Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats Hockey Club mourns the passing of Hockey Hall-of-Famer and Montreal Canadiens icon Guy Lafleur.
The Pats and Canadiens share a unique connection: during the late 1950s and early 1960s, the Pats were the secondary farm team for the Habs organization.
On the ice, Lafleur had an exceptional career and the rare ability to bring fans to their feet. Off the ice, he always remained humble and gave back to the game of hockey in countless ways, serving as the Canadiens ambassador for decades following his retirement.
Lafleur leaves behind a legacy that is immeasurable.
The Pats send their heartfelt condolences to Lafleur's family, friends and the entire Montreal Canadiens community.
