Pats Call Up Weal

Regina, SK- The Regina Pats are proud to announce that Jordan Weal will be playing in his first WHL game tonight, in Portland. Weal along with Todd Kennedy will both be making their WHL debuts tonight in Portland as the Pats take on the Winter Hawks.

Weal, (5'8", 140 Ibs) the product of North Vancouver BC, was a 4th round Bantam Draft pick of the Pats in 2007. Weal currently plays for the Vancouver NW Giants of the BC Major Midget League and has had a remarkable start to the 2007-08 campaign scoring 13 goals and adding 26 assists for 39 points in just 16 games. Weal, the dynamic 15 year old forward, was the October player of the month in the BC Major Midget League for the month of October. "We are looking forward to seeing Jordan play, he is having a great season and he is a big part of our future."- commented Pats General Manager Brent Parker.

Kennedy, (6'3", 205Ibs) the native of Kamloops BC, recently left the Nanaimo Clippers of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League to join the Pats. The 17 year old forward, has 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points to go along with 33 penalty minutes, in 20 games played. Pats General Manager Brent Parker had this to say about adding Kennedy, "Todd is a big late developing kid. He has been playing well in Tier II for Nanaimo, but he wants to play in the best league and he jumped at this opportunity.
