
Pats Begin Four Game Alberta Road Trip in Medicine Hat

Medicine, Alta. - Tonight the Regina Pats (6-10-0-0) begin a four game Alberta road trip in Medicine Hat against the Tigers (4-9-3-1) at 8:00 p.m., Central Standard Time inside Co-Op Place.
The Pats snapped their three game losing-streak on Saturday night with a 4-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors in front of a crowd of 3,517 at Mosaic Place. The Pats grabbed their first win when being outshot, as they allowed a season high 44 shots on net in the win. Matthew Kieper made a career high 42 saves for his seventh win this season, and Tanner Howe (1G-1A) scored the game winner in the third period. Borya Valis scored his second of the season and first in nine games, while Logan Nijhoff and Cole Carrier each scored their scored his fifth goals of the year. The Pats have now won two straight games on the road heading into tonight's action.
On the other side, the Medicine Hat Tigers are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Winnipeg ICE at home on Saturday, and have now lost nine straight games, going 0-9-3 during that time. The Tigers last win came on Friday, October 22nd on home ice, defeating the Prince Albert Raiders 6-2. Prior to their skid, the Tigers were 4-3-0-1. Last season, they finished 14-8-4-1, tied for seventh in the WHL.
Tigers forward Lukas Svejkovsky is tied for 12th in league scoring with 22 points (8G-14A) in 15 games. The Pittsbrugh Penguins fourth round pick is also tied for seventh in goals but just has one goal and two helpers over his last five games. Rookie defenceman Bogdans Hodass leads all rookie defencemen in points with 14 points (2G-12A) in 17 games.

Regina Pats Head Coach and General Manager John Paddock picked up his first win behind the bench since May 25th, 2018 when the Pats defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-2 to advance to the Memorial Cup.
The Regina Pats claimed Slovakian 2003 born forward Alex Geci off CHL Import Waivers on Friday, and signed him to a SPA on Sunday...the 6'3, 193 lb. forward totaled one goal and two assists in nine games with the OHL's Sarnia Sting this season.
The Regina Pats are 3-3 in the month of November, and have been outscored by opponents 21-20 during that time...the power play is 6-for-19 in November, running at 31.5% while the penalty kill is 18-for-21, running at 85.7% this month.
