
Patroons Sign First Player

Albany, NY (September 6, 2007) - The Albany Patroons are excited to announce the signing of their first player for the 2007 - 2008 season. Darmetries Kilgore, a 6'5" Guard and graduate of Purdue University brings a strong list of credentials to the Patroons roster.
Kilgore's list begins as a high school McDonald's All-American candidate ('99), a Junior College All-Regional Team ('00) and a Junior College All-American ('01). After attending Tyler (Texas) Junior College he transferred to Purdue where he completed his college career. As a Junior he saw action in every game, scored in double figures in 18 of 31 games, hit at least one three-point field goal in 24 games, captured at least four rebounds in 11 games, scored double figure in nine consecutive games, led team in scoring in two games and was Purdue's No. 2 scorer averaging 9.9 points and 2.5 rebounds. Kilgore went on to play in the IBL with the 2005 Grand Rapids Flight, where he was the top scorer with an average of 18.4 points per game and was named to the IBL All-Star Team. His last stop before signing with the Patroons was a two year stint with the Elkhart Express of the IBL, helping the Express win the title game two years in a row.
