The Albany Patroons basketball team is pleased to announce that they will host a two-session basketball clinic this Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the Rudy A. Ciccotti Family Recreation Center at the Colonie Youth Center, 30 Aviation Road in Colonie. The two-hour clinics will run from 9-11 am and from 11am-1pm, and will feature instruction from several Patroons players.

Also on February 20, 2008, before the Patroons' game against the Yakama Sun Kings, the team will speak with several children's groups about the importance of staying in school, remaining true to your beliefs, and reinforcing the commitments of God and family, at 5:30 pm at the Washington Avenue Armory, 195 Washington Avenue in Albany. The event is sponsored by the Wilborn Temple First Church of God in Christ, 121 Jay Street in Albany. After the Patroons speak with the kids, the kids will receive tickets to Wednesday night's game against the defending CBA champion Yakama Sun Kings.

"It's always great for us to participate in events within the community," stated Patroons General Manager Dave Bestle. "The Patroons organization is committed to being part of our Capital Region neighborhoods and helping kids make the right choices in life."
