Patroons bring in Kareem Reid

Albany, NY - May 4, 2007 - The Patroons are happy to welcome back former CBA Patroon, Kareem Reid. Reid had a successful season with the 2006-7 CBA Patroons, contributing to the American Division Championship team. Kareem Reid graduated Arkansas as the all-time leader in assists in school history, with 748. College accomplishments include earning second Team All-SEC honors, All-SEC Freshman team, and participation in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. Reid began his professional career in the 1999-2000 season in the IBL with Richmond and appeared in one game with Pilsen Istanbul in Turkey. Next he played the 2000-2001 season with the Richmond Rhythm of the IBL, where he ranked fourth in the league in assists. He played with the 2000-01 Harlem Globetrotters, the 2002-03 Grand Rapids Hoops (CBA), and the 2003-04 Asheville Altitude (NBA-DL) where he earned Honorable Mention All-League Honors and a championship for the Altitude. Reid played for the Arkansas RimRcokers of the ABA in 2004-05 , averaging 21.3 pts and leading the league at 9.0 assists. He was named to the All-Star game and earned Final Game MVP honors while leading the RimROckers to the ABA title.

To make room for Reid, the Patroons have released Whitney Robinson.
