March 7, 2003 - NBA G League (G League)
Fayetteville Patriots News Release

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C., March 7, 2003 – The Fayetteville Patriots and the Blood Donor Center of Cape Fear Valley Health System have joined to offer the public a fun night of basketball in return for helping to save a life.

All persons who donate blood through March 21 will receive two tickets to watch the first-place Fayetteville Patriots play their final regular-season home game at 7:30 p.m., on March 21 at the Crown Coliseum against the Greenville Groove. The first 2,000 fans at that game will receive a Patriots replica jersey.

The Blood Donor Center appreciates this opportunity to reach more donors. "It takes 1,200 units of blood each month to serve the needs of patients at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital," said Mary Fisher, blood donor recruitment coordinator. "All blood donated at the center remains in the community. We are always looking for ways to increase and promote blood donation. Therefore, we are very grateful to the Fayetteville Patriots for helping us in this initiative."

Opportunities for the public to donate blood and earn two tickets to watch the Patriots on March 21 are as follows:

March 13, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Department of Social Services, 1225 Ramsey St., Fayetteville March 15,
Noon - 5 p.m., St. James Lutheran Church, 1424 Morganton Road, Fayetteville
March 18, Noon - 5 p.m., PWC Operations Center, 955 Old Wilmington Road, Fayetteville
