GREENVILLE, S.C., Dec. 2 â The Fayetteville Patriots have re-acquired post player Ernest Brown and waived forward Antwan Jones, according to an announcement by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Patriots head coach Mike Brown.
Brown, 6-11, 220, was playing with the Patriots when he was signed by the Boston Celtics late last season, making him the 39th GATORADE call-up. He was in training camp with Boston this season.
He has played in 61 NBDL games with Mobile and Fayetteville, averaging 25.9 minutes, 11.3 points and 6.2 rebounds. A member of the 2003 NBDL Champion Mobile Revelers, Brown was an All-NBDL second team selection that season.
Brown will join the Patriots in time to play at Asheville Saturday night. He will wear jersey #52.
