
Patriots Acquire Pettway and Mazur, Waive Christoffersen

GREENVILLE, S.C., March 16 â The Fayetteville Patriots have acquired forward Alvin Pettway and center Marc Mazur, according to an announcement today by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Patriots coach Jeff Capel. The Patriots also waived center Chris Christoffersen.
Pettway, a rookie from Alabama State ('03), fills the roster spot vacated when Britton Johnsen signed with the Orlando Magic last week. He averaged 9.5 points 6.8 rebounds as a senior at Alabama State.
An NBDL journeyman of sorts, Mazur is returning to the team where he started in the league, playing 50 games and averaging 2.3 points and 2.8 rebounds with the Patriots last season. He has made stops this season at Columbus, Roanoke and Asheville where he is averaging 2.9 points and 2.7 rebounds in 20 games.
Both Pettway and Mazur are expected to in uniform when the Patriots host Columbus Thursday. Pettway will wear jersey #54 and Mazur #21.
