Patrick Dodds Named Rookie of the Year Finalist

Panther City rookie forward Patrick Dodds was nominated for the 2021-2022 Nation- al Lacrosse League Rookie of the Year. He was the 21st selection in the 2020 NLL Entry Draft by the Calgary Roughnecks after playing for his native Victoria Shamrocks, helping lead them to the Minto Cup in 2019. Panther City took him with the sixth selection in the 2021 NLL Expansion Draft.

As a rookie, Dodds was a focal point of the Panther City offense from the jump, leading the team with five points in his first NLL game at Philadelphia on December 4. He scored the first game-winning goal in Panther City history at New York on January 15, completing his first career hat trick. He would go on to tally six or more points in five-straight games from February 20 to March 19, including an incredible 11-point outing against the Colorado Mammoth on March 11, where he tallied five of Panther City's 20 goals against the 2022 NLL Champions.
