Regina Pats News Release

The Week That Was

Tuesday, February 5th - Lethbridge 5 @ Pats 2

The Pats trailed 3-2 heading into the third period and put 15 shots towards Ty Rimmer in the final frame, but fell 5-2 to the Hurricanes. Rimmer made 48 saves on the night for the victory.

Thursday, February 7th - Edmonton 7 @ Pats 0

The Oil Kings powerplay ruled over the Pats Thursday night, going 4/7 on the night en route to the big win. The Pats ran into another hot netminder as Tristan Jarry made 24 stops for the shutout.

Saturday, February 9th - Pats 7 @ Brandon 3

Coming back from a two goal deficit in the second period, the Pats' offence exploded in the third period, scoring four times for a convincing win. Lane Scheidl had two goals and an assist in the win.

Quote of the Week

"They were all good goals. They were hard-working goals. I think the goaltender on their end probably misplayed a couple, but it was because we were putting pressure at the net. It's hard to score on those initial shots if you don't have people going there. We had it and it seemed to work out. They started going in." - Pats Head Coach Pat Conacher on the Pats' offensive outpouring in Brandon (Courtesy Greg Harder - Leader Post)

The Week Ahead

Tuesday, February 12th - Medicine Hat @ Pats

The Tigers visit the Pats on the first 2-for-1 Ticket Night at the Brandt Centre. The last time the two teams met, the closely battled contest finished with Morgan Klimchuk scoring the shootout winner in a 3-2 Pats win.

Friday, February 15th - Swift Current @ Pats

It's Footlong Friday ($4 Footlong Hot Dogs) when the Broncos visit the Pats. All five meetings between the two teams have been decided by only one goal with three games being decided in overtime.

Sunday, February 17th - Pats @ Calgary

The Pats head out on their final multi-day road trip of the season, and start things off in Calgary against the Hitmen. Tune in to 620 CKRM to catch all of the action starting at 4:35 CST with the Press Box Sports Bar Pre-Game Show.
