LAREDO, Texas âThe Laredo Law Pass, Run & Kick contest took place this past weekend. Close to 30 children participated in the event on Saturday at Shirley Field. The Law is home this Saturday night against the Tulsa Talons at the Laredo Entertainment Center. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. There will be fireworks after the game. "It was neat to see the kids out on the football field with our players," said Law Director of Community Relations Nicole Thompson. "Our players and our organization were very excited to work with the Boys and Girls Club. It was a good time for kids and parents."
The Boys and Girls Club worked in conjunction with the Law to sponsor and run the event. Law players Trey Merkins, Michael Patterson, James Dawson and Mike Jones worked as officials. The Law mascot Marshall was present along with the Law cheerleaders.
Winners from this past weekend advanced to the finals of the Laredo Law Pass, Run & Kick contest which will take place on July 9th at the LEC. The finals will take place on the field prior to the Law game against Arkansas.
LAW JULY 3rd PARTY
Beat the Fourth of July heat and take advantage of the LEC air conditioning this Saturday as the Law is home against the Tulsa Talons. Tickets can be purchased for just $5, seating is limited. There will be dollar hotdogs, an apple pie eating contest, music after the game and a spectacular fireworks display. Call the Law ticket office at (956)-726-GAME (4263).
