
Paradowski, Stillman, and Gaouette Sign with Dirt Dawgs

LEOMINSTER, Mass. (Friday, March, 1, 2013) - The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs are excited to announce the signings of three new Division I players for the 2013 season; Alec Paradowski, Will Stillman and Joey Gaouette.
"The signing of Alec, Will, and Joey with the Dirt Dawgs for 2013 is very exciting for the entire organization," said Scott Lettre, Director of Baseball Operations, "We are looking forward to their hard work and great talent that they will bring to beautiful Doyle Field this summer."
Paradowski, a 5-foot-9, freshman infielder from College Station, Texas, will be joining the team from Wofford College, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, a member of the Division 1 Southern Conference. He has started off his freshman season strong, hitting .471 with 4 RBIs while helping his team off to a 4-3 start.
As a senior at A&M Consolidated High School, Paradowski batted .404 on the season and was named to the All-Tournament team when he hit .800 in the 5A State Tournament in Texas. He helped lead his high school team to the title game for the first time in history. This past summer, he also helped his AAU Team win the national championship.
Paradowski is looking forward to the summer at Doyle Field.
"I'm excited and looking forward to an awesome summer," said Paradowski, "I hope to improve as a player and take my game to another level."
Another freshman from Wofford College, Stillman, a 6-foot-4, pitcher from Matthews, North Carolina, will also be joining the team this summer.
So far this season, he has pitched two-thirds of an inning in relief for the Terriers.
During Stillman's senior year in at Charlotte Christian School, he went 9-1 with a 2.00 ERA. He pitched 63 innings and had a total of 75 strikeouts on the season. He helped his high school team win the state championship that year. While he was a junior he pitched 35 innings and had a 1.37 ERA with 20 strikeouts. He went 4-1 on the season his junior year. He also pitched a no-hitter that season against Hickory Grove Christian School.
Stillman is looking forward to a fun summer with the Dirt Dawgs.
"I'm excited and can't wait for this summer," said Stillman. " I hope to help the team win more games than last year and have fun."
Gaouette, a 6-foot-4, freshman pitcher from Reston, Virginia, will be joining the team from The College of William and Mary, of Williamsburg, Virginia, a member of the Division 1 Colonial Athletic Association.
Gaouette was named to the All-District First-Team during his junior year at Manassas Park High School. He was also named to the All-District Second-Team during his sophomore and freshman years.
Gaouette is excited about the opportunity to play with the Dirt Dawgs.
"I am very excited to play for the Dirt Dawgs and in the FCBL, I can't wait to have a great summer of baseball," said Gaouette, "I hope to help the Dirt Dawgs win the FCBL Championship."
"The Dirt Dawgs have done a great job upgrading their roster from last year." said FCBL Commissioner Chris Hall, "They continue to sign talented players from good baseball programs."
The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs open their season at home on June 6th at 6:35 p.m.
