
Panthers Re-Sign Center Drew Larman to One-Year Deal

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that the Florida Panthers have re-signed center Drew Larman to a one-year deal. As per club policy, financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
"We are pleased to have signed Drew for another season and look forward to his continued growth in our organization," Florida Panthers General Manager Jacques Martin said. "He has had the opportunity to play with our club and understands the commitment and work ethic needed to compete in the NHL."
Larman, 23, completed his third stint with the Amerks last season, registering 22 points (10+22) and 44 PIM in 54 American Hockey league contests. The Buffalo native was voted the Amerks' 2008 winner of the McCulloch Trophy for his service to the Rochester community.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound forward also appeared in six games with Florida this past season, posting one assist. He made his NHL debut on November 13, 2006 vs. Washington. In 22 career games with for Florida, Larman has two goals and two assists. He scored his first NHL goal on November 24, 2006 vs. Ottawa.
The Amerks will open their 53rd AHL season on Friday, October 10th at 7:35 p.m. against the Syracuse Crunch at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial. Rochester enters the season as the sole affiliate of the National Hockey League's Florida Panthers. The Amerks announced a three-year deal with the Panthers on June 19, 2008.
