
Broadcaster Jason Shaver accepts position with Wolves

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) announced today that broadcaster Jason Shaver has accepted the play-by-play position for the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.
Shaver, 35, most recently broadcasted the 2007-08 hockey season for the Aeros, and will depart for Chicago in early September. Prior to joining the Aeros, Shaver called the play-by-play action for the Iowa Stars of the AHL. He is entering his sixth professional season as a broadcaster.
"I want to thank Tom Garrity and the entire Aeros organization for giving me this opportunity," said Shaver. "I look forward to broadcasting 80 televised games for the defending Calder Cup Champions."
