Crystal Palace Baltimore News Release

May 15th 2010 - Baltimore, MD - Fresh off their upset win in Portland on Thursday night, Crystal Palace Baltimore (1-1-3) visit Austin, Texas for the first time Sunday evening to face the Aztex (3-1-1) at House Park, with the game kicking off at 6:00pm Central (7:00pm Eastern). Austin's most recent game was a 2-2 draw at Tampa Bay in which three of the four goals came from the penalty spot.

The clean sheet by Palace goalkeeper Evan Bush against the MLS-bound Timbers was his second in a row, having shut out another team moving up to MLS next season - the Vancouver Whitecaps - four days earlier for Baltimore's first point of the season. Yaikel Perez was the Palace scorer on Thursday night with the club's second goal of the 2010 USSF D-2 campaign.

Austin meanwhile have had no problems finding the back of the net -- along with the Rochester Rhinos, the Aztex are the league's highest scoring team with nine. Their top goalscorers are Englishman Eddie Johnson and native Texan Jamie Watson, each with three in five games. Palace know Watson well from last season when he played with the Wilmington Hammerheads, where he won the 2009 USL2 points title tallying twelve goals and six assists in 16 matches.

Ahead of the game, Palace Baltimore head coach Jim Cherneski commented: "We know Austin is a strong, well-coached, well-organized team so we're expecting it to be a really tough contest. We also know they have quality players throughout. We're very familiar with forward Jamie Watson and he's always going to be a threat."

As for injuries, Cherneski added: "Shaun Pejic hasn't recovered fully yet, but apart from him we're at full strength and ready to go."

Live video streaming of Sunday's game is scheduled to begin shortly before kickoff. Palace Baltimore fans can watch either on the club's video page - live.palacebaltimore.com - or on the Austin Aztex website - www.austinaztex.com
