Pair of Receivers Head to UFL

Spokane Shock News Release


Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WRs Markee White and Greg Orton have both been placed on the Other League Exempt List to re-join their respective UFL teams. White will re-join the UFL's Hartford Colonials while Orton will re-join the Omaha Nighthawks.

In 2011, White collected 31 receptions for 316 yards with nine touchdowns in only five games (due to injury) for Spokane. This will be White's second season in the UFL. As a member of the Colonials in 2010, White collected 26 receptions for 304 yards with two touchdowns. Additionally, White set the UFL record for receiving yards in a game (152).

Orton, in his second AFL season, had a breakout year in Spokane leading the team in receptions (120) receiving yards (1,588) and touchdowns (37). This will be Orton's rookie season in the UFL.
