Pair of KiXX Head West in MISL Expansion Draft

Philadelphia, PA, July 23, 2003 â The Philadelphia KiXX announced today that midfielder Gary DePalma and forward Cesidio Colasante have been selected in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Expansion Draft. The 2003 MISL Expansion Draft was held via teleconference to supply players to the League's two newest franchises, Monterrey, Mexico and the St. Louis Steamers.
DePalma, an all-star in 2002, was picked up in the first round (4th overall) by the expansion franchise in Monterrey, Mexico. The Pittsburgh, PA native finished the 2002-03 campaign with 43 points in 36 games played. DePalma made his professional indoor debut in Detroit, where he played for two seasons before joining the KiXX via the 2001 MISL Dispersal Draft. Overall, in his four-year career, DePalma has tallied 144 points and 71 blocks in 135 games played.
Colasante was selected in the 10th round (22nd overall) by the St. Louis Steamers. The LaSalle University standout was selected by the Philadelphia KiXX in the territorial round of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) Amateur Draft. He played all four years of his professional career with Philadelphia, tallying 121 points and 62 blocks in 99 games with the KiXX. In the 2002-03 campaign, Colasante finished with 14 points and 12 blocks in 24 contests.
