P-Rays win, 7-6
August 14, 2005 - Appalachian League (ApL)
Princeton WhistlePigs News Release
Princeton got the scoring underway in the bottom of the first with a one-out triple by Ryan Bethel and an RBI single by Chris Cunningham. In the bottom of the sixth, Logan Wiens broke a 1-1 tie with a rocket home run to left-center. Andrew Lopez singled and later scored on a wild pitch to make it a 3-1 P-Rays lead. After losing the lead and falling behind 4-3 the P-Rays rebounded to take a 6-4 lead on a two-run triple by Logan Wiens. After a usually reliable Robert Findlay blew his third save by allowing a lead off triple in the ninth and a wild pitch to tie the score, the P-Rays responded with a walk off win in the bottom of the frame. Matt Devins lead off and got hit by a pitch. Then with two outs, Andrew Lopez singled up the middle and Devins slid home under the tag with the winning run.
