
P-Rays return with 5-4 win

The Princeton Devil Rays opened a three game home stand against the Kingsport Mets with a 5-4 victory Thursday night at Hunnicutt Field.
The P-Rays received a strong start from lefthander Mike Wlodarczyk who went five innings allowing only two runs while striking out four to pick up his third win of the season. Robert Findlay pitched a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his fourteenth save.
On the offensive side for the Rays was an impressive performance from shortstop Matt Devins. Devins finished the game a perfect 3-for-3 from the dish with a run scored and an RBI. Chris Cunningham added another two RBI's for the P-Rays while second basemen Hunter Vick came around to score twice in the game for Princeton.
The Mets Sean Henry and Cory Wells combined to go 4-for-8 from the plate with three RBI's. Kingsport starter Jose Gonzalez was roughed up by the P-Ray offensive giving up five runs in four innings of work.
