
P-Rays come back in ninth to defeat Blue Jays

The Princeton Devil Rays came back in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat the Pulaski Blue Jays by a score of 5-4 Monday night at Hunnicutt Field.
P-Ray outfielder Ryan Royster lead the charge from the dish for Princeton. Royster was 2-for-3 on the day with a homerun coming in the bottom of the fourth inning to close the Pulaski lead to 4-3.
That score remained until the bottom half of the ninth inning when the P-Rays tacked on two runs off Pulaski reliever Scott Byrnes who picked up the loss. P-Ray Jarrod Farrell pitched in relief of starter Woods Fines to pick up his fourth win of the season. Farrell went five innings allowing only five hits while striking out four.
The P-Rays will be back in action on Tuesday night as they host Pulaski for the second game of this three game set. Game time is scheduled for 7 pm.
