Outlaws Team With North Iowa Golf for American Red Cross Halloween Fundraiser

Mason City (IA) Parents who are on the never-ending search of providing their children with a safe trick-or-treating experience have another option in the area later this month. The North Iowa Outlaws, in conjunction with North Iowa Golf in Mason City and the North Central Iowa chapter of the American Red Cross, are assembling a miniature golf themed event on Sunday October 26th at North Iowa Golf. Dubbed "Trick-or-Treat Mini-Golf" proceeds from the event will go towards the Red Cross' ongoing "Heroes Campaign" which raises money for the organization's various efforts.
The event will run from 1pm-3pm on Sunday October 26th and will feature Outlaws' players stationed at various holes distributing candy to kids who come dressed in costume. There will also be different prizes awarded on different holes, plus prizes to the kids with the best costumes.
Cost is just $10 per person if registered by October 25th or $12 on the day of event and includes unlimited play on the North Iowa Golf mini-golf course. Parents and children are both encouraged to play and costumes aren't mandatory. People can sign-up at any of the Outlaws' upcoming home games, or by calling the Outlaws' office at 424-5468.
"The Red Cross had wanted to do a Halloween-themed event with us for a while and North Iowa Golf was also interested in an event so we felt it was natural to pair the two together" said Scott Montesano the Outlaws' Director of Communication. "This is a wonderful opportunity for people to do some trick-or-treating, play one more round of mini-golf before winter, and do it all for a good cause."
Neither the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears nor Green Bay Packers play on October 26th, making it the perfect Sunday to spend outside.
The Outlaws (4-3-0) return to action on Friday at the North Iowa Ice Arena against the Owatonna Express at 7:30pm.
