Eating Contest and Post-Game Skate Highlight Weekend Promotions

Mason City (IA) Hockey season at the North Iowa Ice Arena moves into full swing this weekend when the North Iowa Outlaws play a pair of home games, beginning with a 7:30pm tilt on Friday versus Owatonna and a 7:30pm game on Saturday against Albert Lea. In addition to the I-35 rivalries being staged on the ice, the Outlaws' are also enticing fans with a myriad of other events.
Friday's game will feature the region's first Buffalo Wild Wings "Eat-Off" in which competitors will race to see who can eat wings the fastest and to be crowned the "Wing Eating Champ of North Iowa."
Excitement for Saturday's game will start well before the opening face-off thanks to Budwesier which will be hosting a pre-game party in the parking lot. Budweiser products will be on sale and a local DJ will be on hand to fire up the crowd beginning at 6:30pm.
Saturday's game is "High School Musical III Night" as music from the widely popular Disney Movie Franchise will be played, and tickets to the movie's Mason City Premier at Cinema West will be awarded to lucky fans.
After Saturday's game, all fans are invited to stick around for a post-game skate with the Outlaws' players. The event is free for those who bring skates, while a small fee is collected for those who will need to rent skates. No one without skates is allowed on the ice.
