
Outlaws Sign Kent

San Angelo â This time last season the San Angelo Outlaws were excited to announce their new head coach. This off-season is a step in a better direction where as today they are proud to announce their eighth signing for the upcoming 2002-2003 hockey season.
Corbie Kent, a native of Minden, Ontario, will be the eighth Outlaws signed for the 2002-2003 season and the first non returning player from last years squad. Kent, a 6'1" 200 lb. defenseman, played the last couple of years in Germany. In 1999-00, Kent played for Herford in the Regionalliga League where he played 15 games scoring 16 goals and assisting on 17 others. The following year Herford moved up in leagues and played in Oberliga Nord. Kent scored 2 goals and 11 assists in 26 games played that season while racking up 49 penalty minutes. "Corbie is a very strong skater and a solid kid who can rush the puck well," said Outlaws Head Coach Brent Scott. "He brings great size and speed to our defense, that we desperately need, and I am excited to have him."
