"Travis is a tremendous impact player that will bring an enormous amount of leadership experience to our organization," said Firriolo. "That leadership, both on and off the ice, will be invaluable to our organization and within our community as we grow and build a brand and product our fans will be excited to embrace.
"Obviously his numbers as a player speak for themselves, but what's most impressive is the respect he commands from his teammates and within the hockey community. That's the type of player we want to build a program around."
