Kansas City Outlaws News Release

(Kansas City, MO --- November 3, 2004) – Kansas City Outlaws General Manager Joe Bucchino announced on Wednesday that Finnish defenseman Simo Pulkki and center Brad Kenny have signed with the 5-2 Kansas City expansion franchise. Pulkki and Kenny are active players beginning tonight at Missouri River Otters at 7:05 p.m., which is available on the radio on 1340 KCKN or through free live audio webcast at www.kansascityoutlaws.com.

“We believe that Simo Pulkki and Brad Kenny will create an upgrade in our lineup and make an immediate impact defensively with Pulkki and on the attack with Kenny,” said Outlaws General Manager Joe Bucchino. “Our expansion organization continues to work as hard as possible to bring a winner to Kansas City.”

Kenny, native of Burlington, Ontario, was a teammate of Outlaws player/assistant coach Jason Ruff last year with the Belfast Giants in Ireland in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), as the pair led their team in scoring (Ruff with 86 points and Kenny with 68 points).

Pulkki was invited to Outlaws training camp at Ice Sport in Shawnee from October 4 through 9, but was unable to enter the country at that time due to a delay in the playerÂ’s immigration process.

Bucchino also declared that left winger Jeremy Vokes and defenseman Zbynek Tuma have been released and both have cleared UHL waivers. Vokes played in six games with the Outlaws and tallied 3 goals and 1 assist with 22 shots.
