Billings Outlaws News Release

Although the Sioux City Bandits were able to squeak out a victory against the Billings Outlaws last Friday night, their effect on the Outlaws may be more detrimental. Outlaws UIF All-Star wide receiver, Robert Reed, missed last Friday's game due to an injury he sustained in the first meeting with the Sioux City Bandits. "I don't know if he'll be ready for the meeting with Sioux Falls," says Head Coach O'Neal. "He took some hard hits in that game and he still hasn't recovered a hundred percent". The Bandits also put the 'hurt' on another UIF All-Star wide receiver, Anthony Candler. "I hope Candy Man will be up and running....," states O'Neal, "but we won't know until we get closer to game time."

On a more positive note, Charles Anthony, 5'11 wide receiver from Tennessee State University, has been invited to a CFL tryout in Orlando, Florida. "We would hate to lose him at this stage of the season, but we (as an organization) would never hold an athlete back from an opportunity like this," says co-owner Wallace Yovetich. Charles has demonstrated his ability to be an impact player within the UIF.

The Billings Outlaws face the Sioux Falls Storm Saturday, April 5th. Kick off time is at 7:05pm.
