
Outlaws hold on for win

North Iowa Outlaws News Release
After jumping out to a early three goal lead in the first period, the North Iowa Outlaws got into a battle with the Bismarck Bobcats. Bismarck fought threw two periods and scored, before the Outlaws added an insurance goal which proved pivotal as the Bobcats tagged a third goal to make it 4-3. North Iowa held off a final second flurry to pull off their fifth straight win.
Alex Carlson struck for the Outlaws in the opening minutes, followed by a Joe Harcharik tally for the 2 - 0 lead. Harcharik's goal came with the man advantage, and Alex Carlson added a second power play goal midway thru the period for the 3-0 lead. In the second, the Bobcats got one back to finish the second period 3-1. In the third, Shea Walters picked up the third power play goal on the evening for the Outlaws, giving North Iowa a cushion that would prove to pay off. The Bobcats stormed back with two goals late, but time fell short and the Outlaws held onto the win.
Matt Beggs came away with his third straight win, saving 29 shots on the evening. In addition to Beggs, Robby Moss made his return to the bench, backing up Beggs in the win, ready to get back in the action very soon. North Iowa travels to Owatonna for a match-up with their divisional rivals the So. Minnesota Express Friday night before returning home on Saturday to finish off the series with the Bobcats.
