North Iowa Outlaws News Release
For the past two seasons, the Bismarck Bobcats have feared the North Iowa Outlaws, dropping 13 in a row heading into Friday's battle at the VFW Sports Center in Bismarck, ND. Momentum changed hands numerous times but the Outlaws got another balanced scoring attack, including a goal from newcomer Larry Kincaid, to make it 14 straight against the Bobcats and five in a row this season.
In the opening period the Outlaws came out shooting and quickly found the back of the net as Joe Harcharik pulled the puck off the wall and let a wrister fly passed Jake Kramer for the 1-0 lead. Later in the period, North Iowa took advantage of the man advantage as Reed Rushing fired a shot into the back of the net off a great pass from Shea Walters for the 2-0 lead at the end of the period.
The second period saw alot of change as the Bobcats came out and out worked the Outlaws for the majority of the period. Bismarck took advantage of a power play of their own as well as knocking home a rebound and before the Outlaws know the game was tied at 2. Trying to find the spark, North Iowa was able to gain a little momentum later and Max Mobley gave the OUtlaws the lead again, redirecting a Tyler Jundt shot to end the period on a high note for the Outlaws.
