Otters topple Rangers

Justin Hodgman scored once and added two assists to lead the Erie Otters to a 4-1 win over the Kitchener Rangers in an Ontario Hockey League game played in front of 4,615 at the Tullio Arena. Brandon Biggers, Mike Cazzola and Josh Sidwell also scored for the Otters, who improved to 33-29-3-2 on the season. Micky Sartoretto netted the lone goal for the Rangers, who finished the season with a 26-37-3-2 mark. The two teams were tied at one after one. Erie carried a 2-1 advantage into the third. The Otters out shot the Rangers 38-34 in the game as Shane Owen posted the victory. The three stars of the game were all from the Otters. Hodgman was the first, Cazzola the second and Biggers the third.

Tomorrow (Sunday) the Otters complete the regular season against the Guelph Storm in a special 4:30 p.m. start. It's Fan Appreciation Day presented by Erie Business Center and Green Prosthetics as the Otters celebrate St. Patrick's Day by wearing green jerseys and the two teams will compete on green ice!
