Ottawa Tops IceDogs 4-1
October 30, 2014 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Niagara IceDogs News Release
Two goals from Trent Mallette were too much for the Niagara IceDogs to overcome as they fell 4-1 to the Ottawa 67's Thursday night at the Meridian Centre.
Erik Bradford opened the scoring for the 67's when he stuffed one in from the side of the net at 6:28 to give them a 1-0 lead. Carter Verhaeghe answered with his fifth goal of the season before Trent Mallette restored the lead for the 67's.
Mallette scored his second of the game when his shot from the slot beat IceDogs goaltender Brent Moran, who made 18 saves in the game.
Jeremiah Addison made it 4-1 at 17:45 of the third period and that would be too much for the IceDogs to overcome, despite outshooting Ottawa 36-22.
The IceDogs are back at it Saturday night when they host the Sudbury Wolves at the Meridian Centre.
