Windsor Spitfires News Release
Josh Ho-Sang set up all four goals, including Sam Povorozniouk's winner, as the Spitfires edged the Kingston Frontenacs, 4-3, on Thursday night at the WFCU Centre.
Povorozniouk beat Lucas Peressini (22 saves) for his team-leading seventh goal on a clear-cut breakaway at 18:33, after Ho-Sang sent him in all alone with a deft feed.
The goal looked like insurance with just 1:27 to play, but turned out to be the difference when Spencer Watson (8) scored with Kingston net empty at 19:47.
Trevor Murphy (2), Ryan Moore (1) and Cristiano DiGiacinto (4) had the other goals for Windsor (5-7-0-1), which won back-to-back games for the first time this season.
Alex Fotinos was outstanding in goal, making 38 saves for his fourth win of the season.
Conor McGlynn (5) and Robert Polesello (8) had the other goals for Kingston (6-5-0-1).
Moore's first of the season broke a 1-1 tie at the 2:27 mark of the third. DiGiacinto gave the Spits the lead for good on the powerplay at 14:15.
The Spits look to make it three in a row, when the London Knights come to town on Saturday night. Gametime is 7:05.
