Ottawa Renegades News Release
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Renegades Football Club announced the following player moves on Monday.
The team has inked two players to practice roster agreements and released two import offensive linemen.
New additions to the Renegades are two Americans - a receiver and a defensive lineman, who will both report to practice on Monday at Frank Clair Stadium.
Receiver Gerald Harris, who began the year with the Calgary Stampeders and previously played with the B.C. Lions, joins defensive lineman Kenny Smith (out of Benedict College) as the two latest Renegades acquisitions.
The team also announced the release of American offensive tackles Reggie Nelson and Freddie Moore. Both were in their first year with Ottawa.
Nelson, who came to the team during training camp, played and started in eight games for Ottawa at left tackle. Moore, acquired as a free agent five weeks into the season, played and started in nine games at right tackle.
The Renegades return to action at home on Friday, Oct. 7 when they host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Tickets to the Thanksgiving weekend game are available either at the Renegades ticket office (1015 Bank Street), on the Internet (http://www.capitaltickets.ca), by phone (613.599.3267 or 877.788.3267), any Sports Experts location in the Ottawa and Gatineau regions as well as the Corel Centre Box Office in Kanata.
