Ottawa 67's News Release
Our Ottawa 67's gave their fans the best holiday gift they could last night with an 8-0 shutout over the Peterborough Petes. The boys dominated the play throughout all 3 periods. There was such a jolly and excited vibe in the Urbandale Centre last night. Fan's demonstrated their holiday spirit as wells as great enthusiasm for our Ottawa 67's.
We would like to congratulate number 17, Stephen Janes on his first goal in the OHL! What a night to remember!
Tonight's game was sponsored by VIA Rail - a more human way to travel. The ceremonial puck drop found VIA Rail's Vincent Fournier front and centre to kick of the night's festivities (photographed below).
As previously mentioned, our fans last night rocked! Enthusiasm and excitement were through the roof. That's probably why the wave was such a roaring success.
We would like to thank the IP Level Carleton Place Flyers for coming out last night and wowing fans with their hockey skills. That, combined with the obvious cuteness was a recipe for success.
Also, congratulations to Ryan, who won 500 dollars, after being name Roger's Fastest Skater. It was a fierce competition with some lighting-fast speed, but someone always comes out on top. Way to go Ryan!
We hope you all have a fantastic and safe holiday season. We'll be back again before the New Year, as the boys take on the Belleville Bulls December 29. We'll be there, writing from the stands!

Katya has been coming to Ottawa 67's games for three years, which is almost a third of her life! This SIX0 Power Dancer in training can be found busting a move almost every game. Her favorite player is Nigro and she loves the Denny's Chicken Dancers.
Thanks for keeping us pumped Katya, your section doesn't even need to SIX0 Power Dancers when you're around!
Murray and Jeanette have been season ticket holders since Murray's work friend gave them tickets to a game, five years ago! Since then, they have had the same sets, and think being in the stands is just fantastic.
They love bringing friends and family to experience the Ottawa 67's magic. Thanks so much guys, we think you're the ones who are just fantastic!
Section 23 was dominated by students from Our Lady of Wisdom School. They were a loud and happy crew, who were more than excited to be our group of the game!
They could be heard through the stands, as they were one of the loudest forces last night!
With two goals and an assist last night, it's clear who the player was. Ryan Martindale love the bus trips he gets to take with our Ottawa 67's. His favorite food is steak and pizza - yum, no disagreements there.
Way to go Martindale!
