Austin Turfcats News Release

Austin, TX - At the initial press conference of the announcement for the indoor football team, Turfcats Vice-President General Manager Ronald Oswalt offered the team a dare for his players. He told the team that if they could win by sixty points or more or even better beat the two time former Intense Football League Louisiana Swashbucklers he would shave his head for a payment of success.

Before pregame versus the Swashbucklers, two Turfcats players namely Darrick Wallace showed up to the locker room with a hair trimmer and said tonight is the night. Unknown to the General Manager how seriously the players took the bet for the teams second home game.

The Turfcats stormed out the gate and led the former champions by as many as nine points in the final minutes before claiming a 56-53 win at adfirmative.com field at the Travis County Expo Center.

During the fan interaction time at games end, there were as many as 100 fans cheering on Wallace and Tim Cook as they cut stripes into his head until they finished it off.

Oswalt said, "I will do anything to motivate these guys, now I look like the General Manager of the Swashbucklers Richard Dow." "The players have been so good to me and now I must think of another bet to get us to the championship."
