Oshawa Power Win OT Thriller 120-119 Over Saint John Mill Rats

(OSHAWA, ON) Durham"Ÿs Team the Oshawa Power kept their post season dream alive with a thrilling 120-119 overtime victory over the fourth place Saint John Mill Rats at the GM Centre in Oshawa.

The Power started the game slowly and looked as though they would be blown out for the second straight game against the Mill Rats, but a strong second quarter sparked a push that saw the Power lead by as many as 15 points in the fourth. The Mill Rats made a magical comeback of their own forcing overtime.

"The win was just us taking care of what we have to do" said Canadian Kevin Shand after the game. "Once we play as a team, and do what we have to do we normally get a win."

Shand had a monster game recording 10 points and 7 rebounds. Brandon Robinson continued his offensive tear with a game-high 37 points and added 6 rebounds. Number one overall draft pick Morgan Lewis had a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds in the thrilling win.

The Mill Rats got a solid effort from their bench scoring 76 of their 119 points. Canadian Isaac Kuon led the way with 21 points, and guard Darren Duncan netted 17.

The next Power game is February 19 as they visit the Moncton Miracles at 1:00 p.m. e.s.t.
