
Oshawa Power Goes Pink Night a Huge Success in 106-91 Win in Front of 2773 Fans

(OSHAWA, ON) Durham's Team the Oshawa Power hosted the "Cure on the Court: Power Goes Pink" event at the General Motors Centre in Oshawa Wednesday night. The Power were victorious over the Summerside Storm 106-91 staying in the hunt for a playoff spot.
Players donned pink socks for the game and "I LOVE BOOBS" t-shirts courtesy of the Heather Griffith Breast Assessment Centre at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in warm-ups.
The highly successful event drew 2,773 fans to the GM Centre and saw the arena "painted pink". Through donations and fundraising initiatives, Durham's Team the Oshawa Power will be making a donation of over $1,000 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Ontario Region.
The Power would like to thank GoodLife Fitness for sponsoring the "Power Goes Pink" evening as well as the following businesses that made donations to the event to support the cause; Art & Technique Academy, Booster Juice-Whitby North, Booty Camp Fitness, Boston Pizza, Canadian Living, Great Canadian Popcorn Company, Dairy Queen- Simcoe, Durham College, Kernels, L'Occtaine, Pop Chips, Shoeless Joe's- Oshawa, Sony Pictures, Tim Hortons- Oshawa, U By Kotex, Uptown Wireless, and U Weight Loss.

Next up for the Power is a matchup with their Ontario rivals the London Lightning on Sunday February 5 at 2 p.m. at the John Labatt Centre.
