London Lightning News Release

The 2474 fans in attendance at the John Labatt Centre have known for a week that their Lightning were headed to the post season, but who their opponent would be remains a mystery. Fifth place Summerside Storm was the visitor tonight, and a close battled game saw the Lightning winning, 113-107.

"We didn't play well," explained Lightning Coach Michael Ray Richardson. "We gave away 25 offensive rebounds and let their guards score too many layups. In the end though a win is a win and we will take it."

The Storm trail Saint John Mill Rats in the standings and have a very tough schedule ahead. London meanwhile, used its tried and true formula in tonight's contest: Gabe Freeman ending with his double double, 18 points and 14 rebounds, while 5 players on the Lightning roster scored in double digits, led by DeAn- thony Bowden with 25.

London gets right back at it on Sunday against Oshawa. Tip-off at the John Labatt Centre is 2 PM. Come GET STRUCK! Single tickets and flex packs are now available at The John Labatt Centre box office 1-866-455-2849, www.johnlabattcentre.com or www.lightningbasketball.ca.
