XFL Week 4 Ratings Report
Week 4 of XFL broadcasts continued to slide on Saturday, although there is some indication that the Sunday ratings are starting to level out. Both Saturday slots dropped around 20-25% across all metrics. The Sunday early slot game was also down by similar amounts (and a large drop in households), although the early game was on less-available FS1 instead of ESPN, so, that isn't surprising.
On the bright side for the XFL this week was the Sunday prime time slot and comparing FS1's broadcast in week three to last week's game on FS1. The Sunday prime time game was up in 2 metrics (overall audience and households) and only down 7 percent in 18-49 viewers, with the game going from FS1 to ESPN2. If you compare the FS1 games week to week, it also improved in week 4, being up in all three metrics.
Next week's games are the same slots again on Saturday, with the Sunday early game again on FS1 (3p start), but the late game being at 9p (a west coast game between Tampa Bay and Los Angeles).
