
Orr to play for PrairieThunder

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Bloomington PrairieThunder of the United Hockey League announced the signing of left winger Jamison Orr to a contract Tuesday.
Orr, no relation to NHL great Bobby Orr, hails from Winnipeg and recently completed his season in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League where he played for the Melfort Mustangs.
The 20-year-old Orr, who has been playing at the Junior Hockey League level since 2002, played 40 games for Melfort. He scored nine goals and had 17 assists for 26 points.
Orr will be in uniform for the PrairieThunder when it meets Quad City at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the MARK in Moline. He will wear No. 34. Kristjan Jefkins, who had been wearing No. 34, will now wear No. 7.
