Orlando Valkyries Announce Front Office Changes

ORLANDO, FL. - The Orlando Valkyries, proud member of the Pro Volleyball Federation, has announced franchise owner David Forman has appointed current team President & Chief Operating Officer, George Manias as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization.
In his new role, Manias will work on behalf of Forman to represent ownership in all league matters and all bigger picture planning, guiding and directing the organization as the team and league grow beyond this inaugural season.
"George has done a tremendous job in getting the Valkyries launched and up and running in such a short order," Forman said. "He has proven his worth to take over all facets of guiding the Valkyries ship. It is a crucial time for us and need to run this sports franchise more like a business to sustain for the long haul. George has the experience, know-how, energy and passion to do so. I'm happy to hand the keys over to him from here."
Said Manias: "I am humbled and excited to take on this new challenge. It has been a whirlwind getting the organization launched in just five months, but the foundation we have built thus far is a great start for the organization's future and long-term success."
Manias plans on restructuring the front office and appointing a new team president and other senior leaders in the coming days to take over the day-to-day operations as he begins his new role as CEO.
"Now is the time that we build upon what we've started and take the next steps in being the crown jewel of sports franchises in our community and within the league," Manias added. "I thank David and his family for their trust and faith in my ability to take over the team's direction from here. I could not be happier and am eager to begin my new role."
