Orlando Pride to Host Kansas City Current in Open Preseason Match on February 23

ORLANDO, Fla. - Entering into their eighth National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) campaign, the Orlando Pride has announced five preseason fixtures in preparation for the coming season, including a match open to the public on Thursday, Feb. 23 against the Kansas City Current, presented by Orlando Health.

The Pride are set to welcome the 2022 NWSL Championship runner-up in a 6:30 p.m. ET kickoff at Exploria Stadium. Fans can claim their free tickets via the RSVP link here.

In addition to the open match, 2023 Season Ticket Members (STM) will have another opportunity to see the Pride prior to the season start on Sunday, March 12, with the Club hosting an exclusive open training session at Exploria Stadium. More details on the event will be provided by Member Experience Specialists.

After beginning the preseason last week at the Orlando Health Training Ground at Sylvan Lake Park, the team is set to travel to Port St. Lucie from Feb. 6-11 to continue preparations for the coming campaign, led by first-year Head Coach Seb Hines.

Upon their return to the City Beautiful, the Pride will take part in four closed-door contests leading into the 2023 campaign, first facing off against NJ/NY Gotham FC on Feb. 18. With their contest against the Current coming the week after, the side will then face in-town collegiate opponent, University of Central Florida, on Feb. 28.

Entering into March, the Pride will face off against Florida State University on Saturday, March 4, before closing out its scrimmages on Friday, March 17 against its third NWSL opponent of the preseason, the Washington Spirit.
