Orlando Predators News Release
Orlando - The Arena Football League has flexed the NFL Network 's Arena Football Friday broadcast . The July 9 broadcast will feature the Alabama Vipers facing off against the Orlando Predators in Orlando. Originally scheduled to air was the Tampa Bay versus Dallas game.
"We are pleased to bring another televised game to the Orlando market," said Commissioner Jerry B. Kurz. "With their average of over 10,000 fans per game, it is a great environment to broadcast to our national fan base."
This will be the second match up between the Vipers and Predators this season. In their first meeting, Orlando came out victorious by a score of 48-31 in Week 7. Both teams currently rank among the top of the league in their total defense per game average. The win was part of a 3-game winning streak for the Predators.
This game will be the Predators' fifth appearance on the NFL network and will be Alabama's second appearance. Right now the Predators fifth in the American Conference, just a half game behind the Vipers. By defeating Alabama, the Predators will hold the tie-breaker and have the upper-hand in earning the final wild-card playoff spot in the American Conference.
