IRVINE, Calif. - Orange County Soccer Club is delighted to announce the signing of Charlie Lyon. Lyon joins Orange County SC following two years with the Seattle Sounders where he spent the majority of his time on loan with Seattle Sounders 2 in the USL.
Prior to his time with the Sounders, Lyon attended Marquette University in Milwaukee. He went on to make 63 appearances for the Golden Eagles and recorded an impressive 29 clean sheets.
During his time at Marquette he also played PDL soccer for Chicago Fire U-23's. He was subsequently drafted by Seattle Sounders in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft.
After being drafted by the Sounders he spent the past two seasons with Seattle's affiliate side Seattle Sounders 2 where he has amassed 41 USL appearances. During that time he firmly established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the USL, despite only being 24 years old.

Lyon becomes the 11th signing for Orange County SC and continues the trend of the club signing some of the nation's most exciting young talent following the recent arrival of players such as Oscar Sorto, Victor Pineda and Juan Pablo Ocegueda.
