LAKELAND, Fla. – Centurion Sports Management, LLC announced today that they have signed ten players to a letter of intent from the Open Tryout held on Sunday, Oct. 17th at Lake Parker Park in Lakeland, FL.

Representatives from the five Florida NIFL franchises were on hand to evaluate talent and sign potential players.

"There was so much talent out there," said Lakeland owner Dell Martin. "I was impressed with what I saw and happy to see so many local athletes getting a chance to show what they can do."

The Lakeland franchise was the most active, signing 6 players. DeWayne Gallishaw (WR/DB, 5'9", 192lbs, Lakeland), Christopher Davis (OL/DL, 6'4", 305lbs, Boynton Beach), Alton Walker (WR, 5'9", 180, Tampa), Warren Awatts (WR, 6'3", 242lbs, Lakeland), Shane Ritter (FB, 5'11", 240, Lakeland), and Chris Robichaud (WR/DB, 5'9", 175, Lakeland) all signed on as the first players in franchise history.

Daytona Beach signed Wide Receiver Robert Bailey (6'0", 200lbs, Tampa), who played for Daytona's Head Coach, Ervin Bryson, last season in Sioux City.

"Robert is a game breaker with his speed. He runs precise pass routes and finds a way to get open. He has run a 4.2 40 yard dash time and will be a big fan favorite in the Ocean Center," said Bryson.

Kissimmee, Miami and Fort Lauderdale were also active and will announce player signings later in the week.

A second open tryout for the five Florida franchises will be scheduled for late November with an official date and location to be announced by the end of October.
