Omaha Vipers Open Tryouts Yield Impressive Results

(Omaha) - The Omaha Vipers held open tryouts for the MISL professional indoor soccer team last weekend at The Indoor Soccer Center in Omaha - the Vipers new training facility. There were 143 participants signed up over the 4 sessions.
One player was offered a contract to play for the team. Aaron Polak, a defender from Hastings College (NAIA) was a two-time, 2nd team All American and regional and conference player of the year while playing at Hastings. In addition, he made two Final Four appearances. Currently residing in Lincoln, Polak will join his teammates in camp, the week of October 25th.
The Omaha Vipers are the MISL's newest franchise and will begin play in November 2010 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Season tickets are now on-sale at 402.932.3335 or on-line at www.omahavipers.com . The 12 game package can be purchased for $96 up to $216. A twenty-five dollar (per ticket) deposit will hold your tickets until November 1st.
The MISL represents the Major League of professional indoor soccer in the United States and Mexico and features the finest indoor soccer players from around the world. The league currently has seven member clubs for the 2010-11 season: the Baltimore Blast, La RaZa de Monterrey, Milwaukee Wave, Missouri Comets, Philadelphia KiXX, Rockford Rampage and the newest MISL club in Omaha. The upcoming 2010-11 regular season will begin in mid-November and will end in late March. The postseason will begin at the end of March and conclude in the beginning of April.
