Cedar Rapids, IA (May 04, 2004) The Cedar Rapids River Raiders along with OursportsCentral.com announce today that Dean Oliver has been selected for the OursportsCentral.com player of the week for the week of April 26 â May 2. The award is voted on by Coaches, River Raiders Management and Oursportscentral.com
The 5-foot-11, 175- pound guard averaged 25 points 6 assists and 5 steals per game during the week, playing one home game and two away games against the St. Louis Skyhawks and Salina Cagerz. This places Oliver ninth over all in total points (20.4ppg), third in assists (7.9apg) and first in steals (3.4spg) in the USBL standings as of May 4th.

G-man the NBA mascot of the Washington Wizards will be here to entertain and provide a halftime dunking show. Also NBA legend John Starks will be making appearance back in Cedar Rapids that night as the coach of the Wildfire.
