FC Cincinnati News Release
CINCINNATI - Sean Okoli earned a spot on the USL's Team of the Week after registering a goal that came in at No. 4 on the Sports Center Top 10.
Assisted by Corben Bone, Okoli's acrobatic scissor-kick resulted in the club's first goal at newly-renovated Nippert Stadium and gave FC Cincinnati a lead it would not lose against Charlotte Independence. The goal was Okoli's second on the year and the forward has recorded two goals in as many games.
Ohio native, Austin Berry was named an honorable mention after his diving header in the 52nd minute put FCC ahead 2-0. Berry was on the receiving end of a cross from Jimmy McLaughlin to record his first goal of the season in front of 14,658.
FCC takes on Louisville City FC this Sat. at 7:00 p.m. at Nippert Stadium. The match is the second of two games promoting Youth Soccer Community Days which invites local youth, grades eight and below, to wear their team's youth soccer jersey and attend the game for one dollar.
